Dr Poulos may suggest gum contouring in preparation for having new crowns. During this procedure, gum and bone tissue can be carefully reshaped, which can be useful if you have a tooth that is decayed or which is broken off below the gum line and where there is insufficient structure for a new restoration. By exposing more of the natural tooth, Dr Poulos can fully restore your tooth while protecting it against any further damage.
